Production Release: Based on an original screenplay by Ludwig Shammasian, British film director Richard Raymond brings this highly anticipated and thrilling, dark tale to life. After garnering international attention and accolades for his award-nominated Channel 4 film “The First Day”, Raymond turned his attention towards directing television commercials, but his passion quickly pulled him back into the dramatic arena. “I came across the original script for The Bridge many years ago, and immediately connected with its understated messages of love and loss.” Raymond said. “I worked closely with the writer for long periods of time in further developing the screenplay into a much darker ‘film noir' piece, that fitted the visual objectives which I wanted to convey and explore. The story is really Mary's journey, and the emotional experiences that she has to overcome in order to save herself. The way the tale unravels is intense and quite gripping at times. It's a very exciting project.” Casting is now completed with Andrea Corr headlining an impressive and distinguished cast. |
